Terms of use

DUEL is chess and checkers: learning, a computer opponent, play on one device and online with a friend. In the closed test, invited accounts have access to human matchmaking and competitive ratings. Public registration and sales are currently closed.

Reviewed October 8, 2026

Pilot draft. Developer: Ruslan Ukrainskyi / No Limits, Ukraine; ФОП Український Руслан Валентинович. The operator’s registered address is listed; age requirements and sales terms are being prepared. Public accounts and payments are disabled.

Document revision

Version: terms-v5-2026-10-08. Public accounts are currently disabled; before enabling them, the operator completes the information specified in this document.

What is available now

In DUEL, you can study open materials, practise and play in the available modes. Quick matchmaking may select a virtual opponent. Its computer-controlled nature and level are shown when you open its profile; these game results do not count towards players’ competitive ratings. A game on one device requires agreement between the players. The pilot may be updated, and functions may be temporarily unavailable.

This text describes the pilot rules. The developer is Ruslan Ukrainskyi / No Limits, Ukraine; ФОП Український Руслан Валентинович. Contact: support@duel64.com. Registered address: Україна, 85711, Донецька обл., Волноваський р-н, селище Андріївка, вул. Польова, будинок 32. Applicable dispute-resolution terms are being prepared. This is a draft, not a finished agreement for a commercial launch.

Connection and time when playing with a friend

The server confirms the result, legality of moves and time. After detecting connection loss, the player has 90 seconds to return. Clocks continue running: if time expires earlier, a loss on time applies, taking account of the impossibility of checkmate. If the connection is absent at the end of 90 seconds, the server automatically ends the game as a loss for the disconnected player. If both players have the same disconnection deadline, a draw is recorded.

A silent interruption takes time for the server to detect: up to 45 seconds without a connection response. Reloading the page and returning in the same browser restore the room via the guest cookie. Guest play does not include ratings, monetary wagers or paid rewards.

Account and access

In the closed web test, sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your own email on the invitation list. At registration, the player explicitly accepts the current terms and acknowledges reading the privacy policy. The server records the document version and acceptance. You must not use someone else’s email, share sign-in codes or impersonate another person.

Report loss of access to support@duel64.com. Do not share a password or one-time code with support. Public registration has not opened yet; age requirements and operator information must be completed before it launches.

Data and voluntary consents

Account creation and servicing, saving verified progress and fulfilling player requests are described in the privacy policy. Accepting the terms is not unrestricted permission for any operation with data.

News and offers are enabled through separate voluntary consent, off by default. Declining or withdrawing it does not close access to the game. Emails with sign-in codes, security warnings and necessary account messages are not an advertising subscription.

Optional analytics requires a separate choice where consent applies; it is not combined with mandatory acceptance of the terms or mailings. External advertising analytics is not currently enabled. If a new purpose appears, it will be described before activation and the necessary consent obtained.

Acceptable use

Play respectfully and use functions as intended. You must not attempt to access someone else’s account, bypass protection, harm service operation, impersonate another person or distribute unlawful content.

Permitted hints and analysis can be used in training. Separate fair-play rules apply to rated games against a human: external engines and assistance during the game are prohibited. Direct messages are available to mutual friends in the closed test; threats, harassment and disclosure of other people’s personal data are unacceptable. A public community is not enabled yet.

Progress, coins and Premium

XP and learning points reflect training progress. Gold is a separate server balance for decorative gifts, without automatic transfer of learning points. They are not money, a payment instrument, a deposit or a promise of a prize. Test achievements do not verify public ratings or a paid subscription.

In the closed test, a confirmed Gold balance can be spent on a selected gift for a mutual friend. The server verifies price, quantity, current balance and recipient permission; repeating one command does not create a second debit. A gift gives no gameplay advantage or competitive rating. Gold purchase terms are not in effect yet: sales and automatic paid grants are disabled.

Premium is not sold. Demonstrating features does not charge money, start a subscription or create automatic renewal. Before sales, price, service contents, access period, cancellation and refund terms and seller details must be published separately.

Materials and preservation

Game materials are intended for use in DUEL. Rights to third-party components are governed by their licences. This document does not transfer exclusive rights to the product’s design or materials to the user.

In the pilot, local data may be lost when the browser is cleared or a device fails. Local guest play does not retain progress after leaving or reloading. Older private copies remain for compatibility; having a copy does not guarantee availability of every previous state.

The operator must clarify liability terms and dispute-resolution procedures, taking account of its country and mandatory consumer rights. This draft does not waive those rights or establish an invented jurisdiction.

Recording, streaming and creative work

DUEL permits recording gameplay, making reviews, educational materials, short videos and live streams on Twitch, YouTube and other platforms, including advertising, subscriptions, donations and other ways of monetising those publications, within the rights to game materials held by DUEL. Separate permission for ordinary recording or streaming is not required.

You may show the interface and logo as part of a game recording. You must not present your channel as an official DUEL channel or claim that DUEL sponsors a publication without a separate agreement. A condition of this permission is to state the DUEL name and link https://duel64.com in the video, stream or channel description. A permanent logo overlay on the video is not required. Creator revenue from those publications remains with the creator; DUEL does not require a share or a fee for this permission.

Permission applies to gameplay and does not permit separately selling extracted models, music, graphics or source code in violation of their licences. Third-party components retain their licences. Music and materials added by the streamer require their own rights; this permission does not replace them. It also does not override platform rules or guarantee the absence of automatic Content ID claims.

Before streaming, hide direct messages, email and sign-in codes. If you are unsure about audio rights, disable music separately from game effects. Do not disclose other people’s personal data or organise harassment of players.

Availability and limits of liability

DUEL is game and learning software. We do not guarantee wins, rating growth, income, prizes or reaching a level within a specific period. Games do not involve monetary wagers or conversion of game units into money.

Service may be temporarily interrupted by maintenance, errors, connectivity or third-party platforms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, DUEL does not assume responsibility for the player’s network and device, independent arrangements between players or third-party content not created by the operator. This does not release the operator from its own duties regarding security, handling enquiries and data protection.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law prohibits excluding or limiting, or deprives consumers of mandatory rights. An error or disputed result can be sent to support for review. Specific commercial guarantees, compensation procedures and dispute resolution will be clarified before sales begin, taking account of the operator’s country and markets.

Changes and enquiries

The terms must be updated when functions change materially. Connecting payments, social sign-in or PvP requires separate description and review before launch. A change to the terms does not replace required consent for new optional processing.

For support, complaints and data questions, write to support@duel64.com with DUEL in the subject. Do not send passwords or codes. Public accounts and sales are currently disabled; their launch requires a ready service and final terms.
