DUEL is open: start with a game
You can play DUEL immediately without registering. Version 0.5.42 opens free web accounts for when you want to save verified progress and return to it on another device.
Play first
Choose chess or Russian draughts on an 8×8 board and start a guest game. No account is required before your first move. You can play a person through quick matchmaking or a room link; guest games do not change competitive ratings.
If no person is found within 12 seconds, quick matchmaking automatically starts a game with a virtual opponent. When you open its profile, it says that the opponent is a computer and shows its level. DUEL does not present it as a person or invent players online.
Guest rooms are quiet: free-text chat and reactions are unavailable. Guest mode does not accumulate verified account progress.
An account when you need one
Ordinary registration is open: verify your email and set a password, or choose the available Google sign-in. Game accounts are free; monetary purchases and paid subscriptions are disabled.
The main form keeps the essential fields. You can change your nickname and country in the collapsed “Customize profile” section; the suggested pseudonym lets you start without a real name. Your avatar and other settings are available in your profile after registration.
The Academy without signing in
Open the Academy, explore positions and try chess and Russian draughts exercises without signing in. An account is needed to save verified lessons and learning progress. Materials are available in Russian, Ukrainian and English.
